Dry needling provides relief for some muscular pain and stiffness. In addition, easing the trigger points improves flexibility and increases range of motion. That's why we use this method to treat sports injuries, muscle pain, and even fibromyalgia pain. This is a great option to use for those nagging aches and pains.
Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This helps to relieve muscle tension, which improves transportation of nutrients, blood flow, and promotes cell repair.
BFRT is an excellent way to increase muscle size and strength while avoiding any muscle damage or soreness. If you are struggling with nagging joint pain that is keeping you from seeing any strength gains, BFRT may be a great fit for you.
Identifying and desensitizing trigger points will improve pain free range of motion and promote increased circulation to the painful area. This can be a big missing piece in your rehab plan.
Who doesn’t love a good massage. We offer region specific soft tissue massage that targets the tissues that are giving you pain and poor performance. We use this to desensitize tissues that are painful, improve motion, and promote healing.
At ASPR we give individualized exercise prescription based off of your detailed evaluation. Our prescription will guarantee that you are not wasting time doing in efficient exercise. We manipulate load, repetitions, and time under tension to promote pain free motion and strength gains in specific tissue. Our back ground in strength and conditioning combined with our extensive knowledge of body tissues will result in an individualized prescription made just for you. If you are still getting outdated exercises advice of “3 sets of 10” then it’s time to look for a provider that demonstrates a better grasp of how the tissue responds to exercise.
We offer sport specific performance training. We consider what specific skills are necessary to succeed in your sport and we use those to guide performance training. You can expect to jump higher, run faster, and react quicker when you have participated in one of our training blocks.
We have the experience needed to efficiently take you from day one post-op to returning to your sport stronger than before. You can be confident that you will be treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy each time you come for PT. You will get a full hour of one-on-one treatment which will allow you the time to ask questions about recover and returning to your sport. If you have big goals of making the team, our one-on-one sport specific training would be a great fit for you. We will take you through a multi joint exam and take baseline measurements of strength and performance which will allow us to tailor your training specifically to you and your weaknesses.
If you live out of town and are interested in working with one of our Physical Therapist we have a remote consultation service that may be a good fit. Ideally, we like to pair this with a week long, in person intensive, but there is so much that we can work on remotely while we wait for the in person treatment to happen.
